Chadron City Government

The City of Chadron is classified by Nebraska statute as a first class city. The Chadron uses a City Manager/City Council form of city government. The City Council consists of five members who are elected from the city at large. Each Councilmember serves a four year term. Either 2 or 3 Councilmembers are up for election every two years. The Mayor and Vice Mayor of Chadron are chosen by the Council from the members of the City Council.

The City Council meets every 1st and 3rd Monday of every month. City Council meetings are held at the Chadron City Offices, 234 Main Street, Chadron, in the Council Chambers from 6:00 pm to finish.
