Tire Rates

Each SWANN customer, whose account is paid current, may dispose of four tires per day so long as the tires are car and light truck tires having up to, and including, a 17” rim size.

Each SWANN customer, whose account is paid current, may dispose of additional tires each day by payment of the following rates:

$3.00 per car or light truck tires up to, and including, a 17” rim size;
$6.00 per truck tire having 18” to 24” rim size;
$20.00 per tractor tire;
$30.00 per heavy equipment tire; and
Any tire with a rim attached shall be subject to an additional charge of $1.00 whether or not such tire is part of the allowed four tires as previously specified at no charge.

Recycling

Recycling Bins are located in the parking lots of Safeway and the Chadron Home Center.

Accepted Items: Glass Bottles & Jars, Aluminum Cans, #1 & #2 Plastic Bottles & Jugs, and Newspapers.

Additional Items Accepted For Recycling At The Chadron Transfer Station: Used Motor Oil, Corrugated Cardboard, Automotive Batteries, Tires, Appliances, Scrap Metal, Concrete, Asphalt, and White Office Paper.

The green dumpsters placed through out the community are for grass and leaves only. The contents are collected April through November and processed into compost. Which is then made available to SWANN customers free of charge.
