Communications
The 911 Communications Center at the Chadron Police Department is a consolidated dispatch center that provides dispatch services for law enforcement, fire and medical agencies in Dawes and Sioux counties. 911 calls placed from anywhere in Dawes County and in the northern two-thirds of Sioux County are answered by the Communications Center. Agencies served by the 911 Communications Center include the Chadron Police Department, Dawes County Sheriff’s Office, Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, Chadron Volunteer Fire Department, Crawford Volunteer Fire Department and Harrison Volunteer Fire Department. In addition the Communications Center also provides occasional dispatch services for the Nebraska State Patrol, Nebraska Games and Parks and the US Forest Service Law Enforcement Officer assigned to Northwest Nebraska.
