The grant, consisting of $ 2,878, supported the library in the implementation of cleaning procedures, disinfection of the premises, air quality improvement and sterilization.
The library staff strongly believes that the economic support provided by the grant was one of the factors helping with the maintenance of a healthy environment during the second part of the COVID-19 pandemic in our region.
This grant was supported in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Nebraska Library Commission.
$1,000 of the awarded money were used to purchase a video camera, lights and microphones for the CPL Youth Services Department. This equipment has been used for several months to produce Story Time On Line.
A new episode of Story Time is posted every Thursday at 10:30 a.m. on the library Facebook page. 811 viewers followed the episodes in the past three months.
The CPL plans to continue posting Story Time On Line and adding new programs such as: book talks, nature walks and interviews. The library is in the process of acquiring a new database that will provide better exposure for its online programs.
